My mum still has hers, given to her as a wedding gift.



Wedding presents were very different in the early 60’s, she still has a fair few of them.

 

Ha! I remember my mum talking about these things called Continental Quilts and thinking how exotic!

 

Have to say, that’s one good thing about Brexit, we can go back to thick itchy woollen blankets, counterpanes, candlewick bed spreads and bed socks

 

And drinking pints instead of litres
