    we bought a lovely Witney Wool blanket from a car boot sale for a tenner I think. They’re £140 new! It’s fab in the van or on the boat.

    we did have Down duvets for a bit but I’m allergic to the feathers so just coughed all night :oops:

    Does anyone remember these? I think we’ve still got a family one from the 70’s somewhere :)

    My mum still has hers, given to her as a wedding gift.



    Wedding presents were very different in the early 60’s, she still has a fair few of them.

    Ha! I remember my mum talking about these things called Continental Quilts and thinking how exotic! :D

    :) I’d forgotten that was what we used to call them! I may start reusing that term instead of duvet

    Have to say, that’s one good thing about Brexit, we can go back to thick itchy woollen blankets, counterpanes, candlewick bed spreads and bed socks :thumbsup:
