I've done similar silly things - camping on Kinder Scout on New year's Eve springs to mind...
    I'm too old sensible now.

@bernjb56 since we've now got some new mods are they or you gonna try and organise some decent camps or are we just gonna see the same five or six people going to the same camps you post up every year like this one , it's just a thought because like others have said this one never seems too popular

I'd like to see us go back to having more organised camps. I don't see why it has to be down to the mods to organise them tbh.

  10. Or:
Arrange to turn up the day before to camp overnight
    Realise you cant be arsed
Arrange to get up early to arrive bright and early
    Realise you cant be arsed
Wife says thought you were out for the day and threatens a visit to ikea
    Realise you can be arsed
Drive there waving to everyone already on their way home
    Arrive sometime after lunch
    Brew up
    Think about going in
    Realise you cant be arsed
Go to entrance ... They want full entrance price
    Cant be arsed
    Walk to exit
    Walk in without paying
Buy something to prove i went
    Go back to bus
    Have another brew
Go home, tell wife it was ok, that there were lots of rusty oily bits that were very expensive.

I think we organised a TLB area last year but then they made it a free for all because of mud. We can look at who's bringing a BBQ and suchlike nearer the time. @Jono1249 fed us all last year if I remember :food:

I think it needs some organising tbh. I will give it some thought - re dubfreeze. It's not a difficult one. Someone books a group parking slot and it's a fiver to camp+the show admission price.

in the past meetings were taken more "seriously" because the moderators/admin arranged and turned up, therefore it was "pushed" more on the forum and newbies gave it a go, whatever way you spin it most meetings these days seem to have a hardcore attendance of a few "big names" and a few stragglers. This show isn't the best one to get fresh people interested in my opinion, a proper good springcamp or summercamp independent of a show is always more favourable, i use these types of meets to catch up with established mates more than anything.

as a side note as well as the 2 techenders events next year i'll be sorting another meet at eddies in the 6 week holiday like we did this year so wives and kids come and we all chill rather than spanner, it's nice and central and i'm sure those who made it this summer will agree we had a great few days.
