WANTED Dormobile bunk frames

Anyone got any Dormobile bunk frames for sale? Don’t need canvas as I would take care of that myself. I’m in the Midlands so something close would be ideal but could sort a courier if further afield.

Ideally both but would be interested if only 1 available.

 

Have you got a picture of what you need? I have a couple bunk frames in storage, but can't remember where they came from. They have a nasty orange material on them. I'll try to get a picture of them.

 

I’ve two frames that I was going to put in mine, I think one is Dormobile. Near Durham if you’re ever up this way.

 

If you could get a photo that would be great because I would be able to tell if they’re right or not. Basically they look like this (picture nicked from the internet) when folded:

 

Yes, one of mine is like that. I guess they’ll be handed, not sure which side I’ve got.

 

does either one look like this? If so I’m interested depending on price but I would also need to arrange a courier because that’s just a bit too far for me I’m afraid

 

Yes they are sided because one goes on the same side as the pop top hinges. I don’t think it matters to me because can make it work either way. What would you want for it, and if I organised a courier would you wrap it?

 

I thought the two bunks frames on dormobiles were different Sizes?

That is only based on looking at my mates dormobile bunks recently

 

They are. They are sided and fit in the framework of the hole for the pop top roof. I don’t have any at the moment, so either one would be an improvement.

 

I think mine are different, possibly Devon.

 

I have one that is almost certainly from a Dormobile.
Will photo and post here so you can work out the side yourself and see if maybe a match for one of the above?
Just south of Gloucester/Stroud btw ...
PS has simple canvas on it so useable until you start doing "decor"

Yeah, they’re not Dormobile. Not sure what they are though. Thanks for getting them out and photographing for me though

 

This might not be much use to you as it's incomplete ... but just in case you can cannibalise it / use the canvas for a template etc ........
The missing end is the narrower end btw

 

Yeah not much use without both ends really - these are the most difficult / expensive part (Dormobile want nearly 500 for those bits alone!) thanks anyway but I need a complete bunk.

 

hi think mines a devon but no bunks fittted and would like a pair if i could find out how to fit.....only bought my bay yesterday pick up next week

I don't remember giving anyone just part of the frame so will have another dig about.

Wait until you have the bus and see what’s left of the bunk fittings. I think you will need at least 4 hooks attached to the frame around the roof cutout. I’m in no hurry to sell these, if they are what you need we can sort something out. There will be plenty of TLB members that can help out with fitting info….let’s make sure they will fit.
