Mine arrived many thanks @Dicky Without wanting to sound like a dipstick (see what I did there) how does if fit, I have never had one on mine and thought it would just push on but the tube is far smaller than the bellows, do I need a clip or something?
Just got mine today, never seen one with a finish like this so am interested in how it performs. I'll put this on my next rebuild @PIE you want to put the fat end on the trumpet shaped part first which is on the oil filler pipe, so this as it's the hardest bit to do. You have to stretch it over as it's fluted. Once this is on compress the bellows and line up the smaller end with the dipstick tube. Then it's just a case of wiggling and squeezing in order to get it on. I use petrol pipe clips to hold it all tight usually just as a belt and braces but that's probably overkill. The one I've just put on another engine I didn't use clips as I'd run out and it's not leaking.
Hi @Dicky Where does the dipstick bellows go, where the dipstick goes into the tube, further down? Tried looking it up but can't find it ir an old Bellows anywhere. .. I wonder if mine is missing. ..
other side of the fan housing the dipstick tube is in two pieces, the main part through the fan housing and a short stubby bit at the bottom of the oil filler pipe where it joins the crankcase.
