Devon Moonraker interior

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by 1050Ron, May 27, 2021.

  1. Afternoon im not sure whether this is the right area to put it in or in the sales. I have just bought a new bay after selling mine it is just a shell currently i am building it up from the floor (wish me luck.)
It has a full Devon Moonraker interior side panels, cushions, sink, stove, fridge, bed hammocks also the pop top it has a sticker with LM000887 which i think is the Devon serial number.

I need money to rebuild and pay for the bus so this interior will be up for grabs i have had a search about for the price but i cant find one to gauge the price which is either a good thing or not.

If anybody has an idea of price or would like to chat about the interior im happy with that

Admin if it is in the wrong area please feel free to remove or move.

    Ron.

Devon interiors are not worth as much money, certainly after 1974 when they switched from plywood to chipboard. It may save you money to keep it, rather than making any significant contribution to the costs of a rebuild with modern materials.

    Like knocking £100 off a £2000+ bill.

After cleaning up a few bits of my Devon interior, I have kept it for the last 11 years.

  5. Pop some pics up , get an idea and put an ad in the classifieds but they don`t fetch much unless in decent condition and most aren`t ....

I really would keep the money for mechanical and bodywork rather than a flash new interior if you are short of cash and already have a workable or easily repairable interior.

For instance I repaired damp damaged chipboard on my cooker by pouring runny epoxy resin onto the damp damaged edges, clamping them between bits of wood covered in plastic bags as a mould.

The super light ply and veneer finish can wait..
Especially at a time when wood and building supplies are rocketing in price because of short term shortages.
