This bus does make me "GAG"813n and green with envy (I'm cheap l know) It's such a nice example of something that is 10 a penny but not in original spec like this lovely example if that makes sense. So many of us have adapted our buses and made them ours in one way or another.

    Looks brilliant.

  11. very nice
I had a 1974 Devon great adaptable layout and much more room than a Westie.

  12. Thanks for posting the pics .This is my camper too and in the same condition inside. The only thing I dont have is the middle seat in the front and the orange cooker knob is missing .Ive just stored the original seats cushions in my loft which are the same orange & Brown too .Im getting some work done on it so it's in the garage . Im keeping the original interior .It nice to see another one in its original condition. The guy I bought it from kept everything all the paperwork and original manuals too.

  13. So thats what mine looked like when it came off the production line.

    Nice bus!

  15. I will upload some pics of mine up soon . I have put a lot of stuff in the loft as its gone to the garage to have some body work done so I will put some before and afters too .

  16. What a beauty, i would be so proud :)

  17. Hi, I've just joined Late Bay. Great van - I also have a Eurovette, 1974. Thanks for your pics - didn't realise that the lid of the cooker could work as a small table. I've only got one leg in my bus. Couple of questions for you:
    1. Any idea where I can get other legs?
    2. Do you use the coolbox as a coolbox or have you managed to get a fridge in there? I want a fridge for longer camping trips but very reluctant to change original Eurovette layout to make room for one. Any thoughts? best regards..

  18. Hi, yes there should be a few more table legs so the main table can be free standing & the cooker top can be used, I can only suggest you keep an eye out on ebay or these forums, I've seen all sorts of Devon interior bits on ebay, as many folk rip out a tatty interior to fit a custom one.

As for the cool box, I took mine out as the casing was well corroded, but I wanted to be able to refit it in future.
I ended up getting a waeco thermoelectric cooler as per this link...

    http://www.my-caravanning.com/en/products/cooling/thermoelectric-coolbox/TC-14FL/1125

These are far superior to cheap 'desktop chillers' you see in Argos or supermarkets which are not supposed to run permanently and only chill a bit, the waeco price reflects what it does!

I'd need to check which size I went for, but one of them fits neatly in place & I use some sponge inserts to make it snug, I don't currently have the waste pipe on my sink but that would need a bit of routing around to be used & there is space to do that.

This is what it looks like in place, It works perfectly well in this position, although it's intended to be used as top entry as per the weblink photos, the end it sits on is very slightly curved, hence the use of the sponge wedges. Coupled up to an Elecsol 110Ah battery in the back which fits under the spare wheel well it's good for a few days, especially if you get it cooled down on mains before you set off.

This does me for now, although i'm open to other solutions that can run a bit longer, maybe use of a solar panel or an alternative mini fridge that is efficient.

Some other info from this site about fridges...

The Eurovette is a nice conversion, were you lucky enough to get the little front seat frame + cushion?

  19. I believe Devon did a [glow=red,2,300]FACT[/glow]ory fitted fridge on the Eurovette and from odd ones I've see with a fridge this option did stick out of the cupboard and the door was done away with, leaving the fridge door visible (as you'd expect) I remeber thinking it looked a bit bodged & shoe-horned in.
