Hi Guys I am in the market for a dash top or a complete dash if i great condition and the price is right? (for a 79 bay) Located Southampton. I have almost brought a couple of complete dash's but noticed they are either a prototype bay frame with a late dash top or late bay frame with early dash top, now i know the late and prototype bay frames differ and need work to get to fit the opposite, do early dash tops fit late bays? Also after a drivers side door rubber, see a few for sale on here just always seem to slow. Thanks Damen
Cosmetically they’d fit but vent holes are in different places so you’d need to swap all of that over too
Great thankyou for the advice, so apart from it not being original for that year of van i would have to re-shuffle the vents which i am not really up for doing.
I think my brothers early has four demister vents up against the windscreen whereas my late has two against the windscreen and two in the centre either side of the centre speaker perforations, you would need to source all of the different plastic ducting pieces which come off the totem, not worth the hassle. I’m sure @davidoft will have one lying around in his parts emporium
