DAB signal quality poor since retune - anyone else?

opps i meant @CollyP he has put some pictures up. I don't see any scratched paint. @Lardy also used the stick on ones. Hopefully they will pop up and say how they did it (hopefully without paint scratching).

Where there is no paint then. I assume they have earthed it somewhere or it wouldn't work

 

Under the earth sticker bit? I'm loathe to do in case it's rubbish anyway. I'd regret scraping the paint then.

Well as you know i haven't got a clue about anything technical like this.
I can see why you don't want to scratch any paint, nor did I.
Can't you just run a hidden wire from the earth sticker/black square thing, down a hole to an existing earth point?

I bought a Kinetic DAA-7002£74.99 GBP, it connects to my normal external aerial and is no better than a stick on aerial!
I couldn't find an external dab aerial that would work with my existing van holes

 

Can't get dab, can't get fm, can't get mobile where we live. It's great living in the 21st century. Medium wave mono radio and a phone plugged into the wall.

 

Mines down the middle of screen, signal can be bad if driving away from transmitter.

 

DAB as used in the UK is so bad that Scandinavia changed to DAB2. Which costs more to transmit but it works a lot better (more error correction).Just remember we are now a year into the official switchoff of analogue HiFi FM.... and has it happened yet ? No. I wonder why.

 

Done the retune, so that's Planet Rock and Team Rock off the DAB. To think I shunned internet radio units thinking they'd be a fad.

The radio is so f****g complicated. FM is dead, DAB is dead, the radio needs a bluetooth receiver to accept internet radio on the phone or through the computer - it only last a few hours and then needs to be charged all day before I can listen to the radio again. At least 6 music is worth keeping the radio for.

Hey, I haven't used mine since last year so wouldn't know unfortunately, sorry guys.
Also taken battery off as halfords batteries obviously only work for a year then you have to replace it?!

 

For zed, I just wanted to find out how your window mounted dab aerial earthed.

Colly P has since replied that it works by magic!, so hopefully zed will be giving his window mounted aerial a try

Sorry to hear about your halfords battery, even if it only has a 1 year guarantee take it back and tell them it isn't fit for purpose.
