Busy day on it today made a nice panel to finish d pillar and then made a start on putting back the metal in the corner that body cut was a bonus used that was easy should weld in nice never known it was repaired allso had a little issue as 1 of my boot pin bushes gave up need to make something for this allso [​IMG]

    Its all the monkeys swinging off the rear hatch when you arent looking.


    Could have been a bit distressing if it had disconnected suddenly on a campsite.

    Now is the time to fit the jacks in the rear pillars so you can get it off the ground ...

    I remember swapping them on my early from some out of old hinges, they press out. You could make from brass tube if you can work out the size and get lucky?

  15. Good 7 day's on the bus the rear ended is back solid again this time last week I walked away and got plastered and this week I'm doing the same again bloody love this old truck !! Rear ballence is only there for pic not welded it until I make exhaust sheild

  18. Yes matey got my unit date now in 2 weeks so will get my workshop set up and then blow it all apart and then the boring hard work begins
