Right been so busy at work trulting to catch up not had much time recently but been gathering bits, started with a rust free door old one was far to gone tried to fix it but had already been botched never knew ! So made it fit my massive tubs and skim of filler here and there and I hope to get a few coats of filler primmer on it this week Du Due to this COVID and the amount of welding Iv done with the air ride I'm gonna paint it this summer instead of winter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That door will do strange things at the bottom without some gussets either side of the tub cutout. It will flex where you have just a sheet of metal going up either side of the hole. If you build up the paint enough on the outside it might crack .. I am definitely looking to seeing you and your bus soon...great work in insane times ! Certainly puts my bodge welding I am doing to shame ... "getting annoyed at cardboard or aluminium air hoses burning up on the stainless exhaust, so I am fitting stainless hoses instead" (bits of exhaust)
That "sheet steel" is 3 mm thick amd is solid have made sure don't panic also it goes a lot further up the door than u can see welded to the supports Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh yes mate coat of filler primer on this and front bumper tonight sand down tomorrow and then another coat on the bottom half sand again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just make sure you don’t drag the tip through your freshly painted panels! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
