    Boxed and never fitted.
One of a pair bought as a back up, and immediate economical solution to the "fire anxiety" issue ...
Stamped as good until early October 2022.
    £18 + any postage

Looks interesting but is there room in the engine bay to fit it the recommended distance above the engine? Also does it actually mount hanging from the bay roof?

This is how we fixed ours ... adding three "hooks" to the supplied frame so that we could easily remove it for servicing the engine if necessary.
You can suspend it lower I guess, if that's what you mean? and use different points to hang it from.

There are differing opinions as to the best set up but basically it's a "firework" made up of powder encased in polystyrene with a fuse around the "equator" that sets it off in extreme heat or flame contact .....
Also lots of opinions about whether powder is the way to go as opposed to foam?

  4. did this go in the end?

    That's very kind :)
Would I be allowed to put a paw print in the plaster?
My singlehanded selfbuild is taking a loooooong time, so it might be bad for me to see your progress for real (bad enough seeing the photos :( )

Still have one of these to go ... It's the one we fitted, so light oil spray on a small area, but otherwise basically good to go.
Reminder that it's stamped for use up to October 2022, so 1/3 of the full "shelf life" ... £12 + any post :)
