Choke ?

I've been having problems with my choke do have striped it off and given it a good clean, I just need to know when it's all put back together will the choke be sprung loaded in the closed position

 

Should be. When the element heats it up, it'll slowly open.

 

Thanks for the reply, choke was stuck open all the time. Now it's all cleaned up it moving smoothly.
I will bolt it back tomorrow and hopefully problem solved.
