  6. Im working all weekend im afraid, shame as its near to me.
Our club (Surrey Aircooled) is helping to Marshall it.
The Hogs Back Brewery is just up the road from the campsite.

I was sort of thinking the same if we have to go through the New Forrest A27 That said I've not actually looked at the route.

  9. I live in Newbury so am going to meet the convoy at Owslebury - my guess is it'll be about 8ish.......

  10. I've emailed the contact on the website but does anyone know if you can use a small tent next to the van on Sat night? Or is it strictly a no go? No one wants to sleep on the floor in the van

  11. You would think if you are allowed a awning your allowed a tent !!! :-0

  12. .................. and is sleeping permitted on-site?

I wouldn't worry about the tent. Your friends aren't going to het much sleep anyway. We have to be up at 6 and inline by 6:45. Go gay or top and tail ;)

  14. Ha ha 3 men in a 3/4 bed I think not!! I'll put it to them tomorrow

I think they call top and tailing something different when you're an adult!!!

Might just take the tent what's the worst that could happen, I'm just worried coz it says 'as many as u can squeeze into your ride'

In the adult world I thought a 969 was a Porsche?? I'm obviously more innocent than I thought.

  16. It'll be bad enough 3 people never mind a 969, I'm not into that human centipede stuff

Also how do you know the times etc? The email I got didn't have any details on, I don't even kmow what campsite we are staying at!!

VWOlive sent me the details she got.

Homestead Farm campsite, Westflexford lane GU3 2JW
    (We can arrive from 3pm)

The VW people will wake us up at 6 with a gentle siren. I imagine almost like a prayer call so being VW I'm hoping or the gentle thrum of a Beetle engine. They will offer bacon sandwiches. The cruise starts at 7:15 SHARP.

    Destination:

    Bournemouth Seafront
    Undercliff Drive, BA2 5AA

    PS
If you don't have your rally plaque you won't be allowed to park in the seafront. And you must be there by 10.30 the latest.

  18. were abounts in bournemouth are you all meeting i may just wander along - without Gladys i am afraid

  19. This has irked me somewhat about this cruise. I live about 15 minutes from the end point in Bournemouth so was hoping to join the end of the line and get on the front. However, I still have to pay the £40 to do so, when (a) I haven't camped (b) haven't been part of the cruise (c) won't get a goody bag.

Surely a bit of common sense would suggest that £15 or something if you just want to turn up at the seafront would mean more people come along? I'm tempted to just drive my ford there, park up and walk along the front, but it just seems to be a silly way to do it...

  20. Could not have said it better. Common sense does not seem to be a quality these big magazines have sometimes.
