Camp over and One Day event - Hunstanton 30th Sept 2012 - Charity Event...

Come on peeps, numbers are adding up, we only have about 45 spaces left for cars in total, and we seem to be filling abuot 5 per day now, if ya wanna come, get ur name, address, registration, etc to me asap!!!

Hi there, Rixy here, im the one organizing the classic car show at Hunstanton, and the camping fri and Saturday evening. Thanks for getting in touch and for coming along to support the kings lynn stroke association.

Camping is all sorted for Friday night for those of you who have asked for it, and for Saturday night for everyone else who asked for it.

So far I have 10 people booked for camping Friday night, along with 6 vehicles, and Saturday night I have 26 people and 16 vehicles. All of these are VW 

When you arrive at the campsite, please stop at the site office at the entrance before making your way onto the site. If there is no’one there to asssit you, a mobile number will be on the door, the people who operate the site live next door, so will be out to help straight away. Please can everyone keep to one area of the site, so we can all camp together on the sat night, as this is what its all about 

The Show is Sunday only, and starts at 10am Sunday morning at Hunstanton green. There is a “fun run” classic car convoy leaving my work premises at Tottenhill, Nr Downham Market, Norfolk for those of you who are not camping, if you fancy it. The convoy is Leaving CUP Classic Cars at around 8.45am on the Sunday morning, and its estimated that the run will last around 60 – 75 mins. The run will come through Brancaster, where everyone who has been camping can tag along and join the end, then we can all get to the show together. This is of course optional, and you can arrive later if you wish, however we may not all be able to park together unless we arrive together.

I estimate we will be joining the convoy at Brancaster around 9.30ish.

The show is raising money for Stroke Association, kings Lynn, and a suggested donation of £5.00 per vehicle is asked, however please feel free to give more if you wish. If this event is a success then hopefully we will be organizing the next one for next year, and keep making money for charity.

There are lots of other things going on durin the day at Hunstanton, including the 10k beach run, a 2km fun run, stalls, games and rides, free sports taster sessions, including archery, zumba, beach tennis etc. There will also be a BMX and skateboard display on the ramps on the promenade. Live music will also be broadcast durin the day, and KLFM are supporting the show and will be attending all day.

Those of you who have supplied me with postal addresses should have already received you passes for entrance, or should receive them shortly. If you have not received them by next weekend, please get in touch with me, so I can get a duplicate made, and I can give it to you on the day.

ppm hasn't got van running, i spoke to him yesterday and he's out of cash for engine funds.

Hi Rixy, Three vans and six folk traveling into Norfolk from The Land of the Hood for the Saturday camp....not one van and three folk! Cheers.

 

HI Rixy, I just noticed that you had us down for Friday and Saturday but we can only do the Saturday. Sorry, I thought I sent you a pm. Just got the bus fixed so looking forward to meeting everyone. We had to have an alarm fitted for the insurance but the immobiliser was too good and it would not start at all! Will people be going to the pub or doing a BBQ? See you all Saturday, we plan to get there about midday.

 

We're coming along to this. Getting to campsite Saturday afternoon/evening depending on how much Mr Millie drinks at the cider festival Friday night. Will probably eat in the pub as I'm not organised enough to sort a BBQ.... Unless there's a Domino's in Stiffkey.

Rixy, passes haven't arrived yet but Mr Millie has just PM'd you to see if we can get them on Saturday.

Hello everyone. Me and doodlebug were planning to come to this but unfortunately life has overtaken us and we won't be out to make it this weekend. I hope you all have a great weekend which I feel sure you will. Please post some pictures once you get back as I can't wait to see them. Fingers crossed for good weather.
