    Me too!
It's some buyers who get on my bits!

  2. Are they originals or copies ?
Either way if they look good and fit I'm interested, any idea of price
    Thanks

They are good condition, I'll stick some pictures up in a bit.
I can't remember how much they cost and can't seem to get JK website up at the moment.

p.s. not sure what you mean about original or copy, they're definately not 40 years old that's for certain. :)

  4. Thanks

  5. Couple of minor annoyances
    - people who jump in quickly on desireable items and are obviously buying to sell or use on a bus they are restoring sell (same thing)
    - people who jump in on the thread to say they will have the item and then dont and string you along - killing the thread off completely and losing you the sale opportunity
    - people who prevarocate and get upset when you sell to someon else (or buy for that matter)
    - people who jump in when there is obviously a sale in negotiation and gazump (fine line i suppose though with the item above - when does normal negotaiation or fact finding become prevarocation)

If Im guilty of any of the above im sure someone will tell me.

  8. Zed you're not trying to raise the issue of traders avoiding tax again are you ;)

I have had both good and bad experiences buying through here. The good ones were through @Dicky @Paul Weeding and another guy I bought some tinware from.

I'm not going to name the others but I have bought some carp which was next to useless and another never got delivery (was refunded though).

  9. I can't see anything wrong with buying items to put in a bus that you are restoring and ultimately going to sell

  10. Guybay1 said to make sure you ask its ted for PayPal as a gift, that way you don't even have to send them, easy pickings, he told me :D

  11. Ultimately - what do you mean by that. Im referring to those who are buying for commercial gain and depriving enthusiasts of the opportunity. Is that clearer

  12. Its pretty good on here compared to some places, but like anything - check its not just someone who joins just to sell stuff? 1 Post - oh just restored my van ... etc.. Use common sense and see the kind of posts they do , you can generally tell a decent honest person from a shishter! :theforce:

  13. Careless talk costs lives … that sort of comment might p1ss some site sponsors off
until you've actually received the goods and got them in your hand how … ?
I have asked a couple of sellers to send me a photo, doesn't seem unreasonable, neither did so I didn't purchase!

By the way my earlier post forgot to mention the excellent service from @Top Banana Racing but then he sent me a couple of washers and nuts for free, so it wasn't something I had bought

  14. Maybe with all this post event knowledge it would be an idea to put a thread HowToBuyHere there is one on how to sell ? Any thoughts

  15. Maybe I have just been lucky or just after parts nobody else wants hahaha! :D

  16. It might but thats not an issue. If i require a part or service from a commercial operation im not going to get it fro free am I. Ive no problem with anyone making a living and using the site for pulicity etc. and most of those who post on here are also enthusiasts as well. Not saying im right tbh and any view will have an element of self interest.

  17. Probably a good idea - a sort of buyer beware kind of thing like they have on Autotrader etc but for parts... but then again the shishters read them too and get ideas how to avoid been detected!

  18. Are they really that clever ? Also I think the dishonest ones are very far apart in reality and it's more so people adopt a well trodden path when using this forum

  20. i have to say i ve sold lots of stuff on here , ive sent stuff before payment was cleared ie cheque , paid as gift , not paid as gift etc , i even preped and painted items for the buyers , so the item could be fitted when it arrived . i must say ive had plenty of good experiences , good deals no bad ones , and have posted the same day or next ,. but i like to be treated the same , owen nw :fool:
