Some Bosch I bought recently from GSF were made in Russia.

  8. i got some NGK ones, only a couple of quid each.

also got some engine mounts as my engine is shaking all over the place atm and the current mounts are done in.

  9. That wont help. These engines don't need much of an excuse for stuff to shake loose.

  10. its only recently started to vibrate like that, I've had my eye on the mounts for 5 years, and they've finally given up on the insides i think!

  11. ok, so went out for a little blitz around this afternoon, and it would seem the lumpiness is not gone completely.
it seems to appear when cruising along at around 20 - 50mph.

fine if foot it to the floor.

otherwise drives ok but I can feel the lumpiness almost like going over an uneven surface.

also the right hand carb is still noticeably colder than the left hand side.

I'm thinking now this could be a fuel pressure issue?

    any ideas guys>?

  12. ^this. 140psi max is way to high to set the necessary pressure. Malpassis are good - you don't need the filter, they do one without (petrolking?)

But...get a cheap gauge and measure the pump pressure first. With the engine running. You may find you don't need one.

  13. which gauge would you recommend matey?

  14. Yes. you don't need to go electric, You just need to reduce the fuel pressure to a max of 3.5 psi. 3 psi seems to work. mine is set to 2.5 and works fine. I would either get a Malpassi or Sytec. both have a good rep for being accurate.

  15. Have you had your fuel pressure checked?

  16. no, thats next on the list, but it going to cost me prob an hours labour to do that, so will fitting the regulator do any harm as it will be cheaper than checking it!

I can't think what else could be causing this issue!
