  1. Not sure if im in the right place but a few months ago there was a thread on making your own booze etc.. now I followed a recipeish to make blakcberry vodka and has been in the dark cupboard ever since.. Just wondered how long it needs to stay there and needless to say cant find the thread!!! ;s

  4. A month normally is enough and the longer you leave it the better it gets

Dont waste the fruit when you seperate it from the voddy serve it with icecream instead

  5. cheers boys..

Not sure there is any "fruit" left.. seems to all have disintegrated!!

Be carefull its very moreish and you easy forget its voddy

  7. I was saving it for xmas... but it would be rude not to have a cheeky go..!!!

  8. keep half back and hide it for another year...blackberry liqueur will be scrumptious. We have some 5 year old elderberry rum...oh my! :burp:

  11. there won't be very many drunk, it's lethal stuff ;)

  12. LOL excellent *in best mr smithers voice* .. so how long do you recon it would last?? mind you I get a bumper crop of blackberries each year so could make loads if its a winner!!!

  13. We had elderberry rum that was 10 yrs old, found it in the back of a cupboard - it was like nectar only about 110 proof!

My mum swore by it mixed with warm water as a cold remedy, brilliant stuff

The sugar and alcohol iare preservatives, there'll be gunge in the bottom (the sediment) but filter it and it'll be fine :beer_yum:

  14. I've got some sloe vodka in the cupboard that must be six years old still tastes good you just reminded me it was there Thanks

  15. :beer_yum: I'll join you for some virtual pop -cheers!
