  1. If you changed the linkage at the gearbox end you will have future problems

  2. I changed everything except the gearbox, its the only part I had.

Looks very nice @yorkieman i liked the yellow but think the new co.out looks v classy.

  4. The modern day shift rod couplings fall apart after a while
The trick is to use the original housing and fixings and the modern bushings

  5. Yeah it did sound like you were struggling a little as you headed towards sheepwash. Easy fix at least :) give me a shout if you fancy a shakedown run and need a support vehicle

  6. Nothing fell apart just the little screw loose which joins the middle long shaft to the gearbox nose cone and should have been wirelocked, all the parts are original but, cleaned up except of course the bushings and the cage that joins to the nose cone. I have modified that part so hopefully it wont fall apart in the future, fingers crossed

  10. Just had this delivered it certainly looks like a superb bit of kit and very well made but, it will have to wait until I get back now, shame! IMG_20171010_171816.jpg

  14. Managed this last two weeks to sort out the fuel issues, changed the "new but, not working" fuel pump for a Huco one and its flying now, also changed the relay mechanism to one with a timer to prime the system when the ignition is on for a few seconds before I start the engine. Only problem is I am not sure that side of it is working. I have double checked the wiring and its connected correctly but, the pump only seems to run when I start the engine, so maybe the relay is kaput. Also I installed an inertia switch to cut fuel in a collision which works brilliantly.
Finally, the new gear lever from Trafficox is installed and working brilliantly, gear selection is easier, quicker and not like stirring custard anymore, its a joy to change gear now, I can highly recommend them.
