    I have a 1988 GT Karakoram Now retired to France for use two weeks a year. It’s still mint in a triggers broom kind of way

    Cool, yeah, I have a ‘92 outpost a ‘96 Pantera ballburnished aluminium,a 2004 Agressor 2.0 and this one.
    I seem to be collecting GT’s!

    I have a 2003 (I think) GT Avalanche 1.0

    I would like an original, for the back of my van, as GT started in 1972. ‘Period piece’.

    I had a GT Pro 4 in 1985. Took me years of paper rounds to buy that bike.

    If you weren’t sponsored you rode GT in the 8o’s, BMX wise there wasn’t much to touch them....maybe a Haro if you did tricks.


    I thought their first mountain bikes were seen as OK....their race BMX’s always had a low top tube and a relatively high bottom bracket which helped positioning them (you could really lean them in corners), their mountain bikes seemed to have a pretty traditional frame geometry.

    I still have my Kona Kula from 1997, I’ll dig it out and take a pic.

    Had one of these for about 8 years until the frame parted from the forks. Reynolds 531.

    Sorry Dawes Mean Street. Had shimano XT and soft touch brakes. A proper GTI of its day.
