Morning folk any thoughts advice for a good all round luggage bag to suit the roof racks of our beloved chariots?
I usually carry chairs etc up there , not needing a waterproof bag but needed one sharpish so used a strong vacuum compression storage bag - you know the sort ... Seems to do the job Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Usually wrap stuff up in a polytarp so the join is at the back. Stops rain getting on whatever, if you lash it down it doesnt flap so can be reused. But at the same time if it gets knackered its cheap.

Ikea bags are excellent. Stuff the bag full, then tie the handles together in a bow, take the long handle from one side and thread it through the short handle on the opposite side with both pairs of handles then you can get good and tight, turn it over and put another bag on from the other side and repeat and again tie in a bow, and if you’re not confident put a third bag on. The final bag should be put with the handles down when on the roof rack so it actually sheds most of the water . As they invariably end up as squared blocks, nice and easy to lash down or net down if you’re not okay with decent knots. Also very very cheapso and reusable for a zillion things. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,cargo nets are great too
