  1. I'm far from interested in the investment..... I've restored mine....that's enough to tell me there's no money in it.

Was just trying to figure out the mindset of the previous owner.

It is a nice van and TBH if I was choosing between a new Danbury and that, that would win hands down!

  8. Well yeah ,who would want a new Danbury, would get a T5 over that for that money.

  9. Thinking !!!!
Seeing as it's getting virtually impossible to import buses from Oz , mine must be like gold dust and fortunately it's not bogie green

Looks very nice to me :)

  11. No one could buy that and actually use it if they wanted any sort of return on it. It's a museum piece, and I mean that in a complimentary way. Or needs to be bought by someone with deep pockets who doesn't care that in five years it will be worth less than they paid for it if they actually took it out and enjoyed it. More miles, more wear and tear on the interior and more owners surely means it's got to depreciate if used.

  12. Having said that if I had 35k I'd love to own it. It's cracking.

  13. I'm sure it is. It's been on eBay for a while. I'd go down specialist auction route if they want to get best price.

I hope you are on commission?

So it'd just be like any "normal" car then.
Spend £30k on a new BMW tomorrow and it's value will half over 3 years.
Not everyone cares about residual values.

  15. No rusty and battered for me ,I would'nt sleep at night....:hattip:

don't want to argue with @davidoft about it been the best in uk ,I need his discounted parts too much...;)

  16. The thing is very few actually spend £30k on a BMW.... most drop a grand or two and pay the rent......

You can't get a PCP on a 30+ year old camper, so it's cash money. That changes things.

"Most" drop a grand or 2?
My point stands. The obsession with them being investments is getting daft.

  18. I'd rather have Ricky Roos T5

  20. Totally agree. I think they should be used and enjoyed. But that's a top end price. Show car money really. I'd worry myself stupid leaving that parked anywhere.
