  1. Meet Bertha, our 1973 Westy. We have owned her since 2004 and enjoyed many happy holidays.

She was named by our daughter, who along with our son loves her to bits!

She is well used, during the first few years of ownership she took us all over England.

Fistral Beach being one of our favourite spots...

Shell Island for back to basics camping...

And RTTS the first show she attended as a member of the family...

After lots of use wear and tear took its toll and we bit the bullet took her off the road and emabrked upon a costly restoration, it was worth it though...

Most of the bottom 6 inches of the body was replaced, front panel deformation panel, engine lid, cab doors and sliding door. The work took 2 years to complete, she returned to the road in Summer 2009.

The interior kept standard, we thought the layout to be really practical...

The wheels replaced with dark grey Empi 5's, and lowered ever so slightly...

She was used by TV Show Wheeler Dealers on the programme that they restored the Late Bay Panel Van....

She has taken us all over Europe over the last two summers,(not without the odd mishap!) last year through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. This year via the Dover Calais Ferry, to the south of France, Andorra and Spain (3000 miles in 2 weeks!)

  10. Sad to hear, since I was just looking at this thread and the last post says it may be up for sale... I hope you have your eyes on another one to replace it. May I also ask if you lowered it by adjusters or drop spindels?

  11. Its on a t2d beam with adjusters. The ride is still comfortable. We are considering buying a T5 then selling the bay and one of the cars.
