Did they have any power cuts this year Bern? Missed CJ like mad this year - I've been going there for the last 6 years
No power cuts this year - we were camped up in the same area as last year. It was a good show - we met a lot of new TLB folk. Hopefully we haven't put them off
Fab piccies Bern... sum up a great weekend. I know you tried your hardest, but you didn't put us of!. We'll be back again with vengeance, and hopefully be a bit more sociable next time (which probably means drugging the teenagers and tying the baby up with the dogs paying the teenagers to look after the baby so Karen and I can get some time to meet and drink relax with more TLBrs).
We need to get @Lord Congi there next year. I believe the usual plan is to treat his bus as a creche; drop off the kids and then do a sharp runner.
We just bought our teenagers a cocktail from the Beetle Juice van and let them loose hoping they would not come back. Am I a bad parent? Once again thanks all for the hospitality and hope we didn't let ourselves down. Roll on Skeg
did you notice David wouldn't let any of us onto the judging panel.... next year we'll be more stealth in our heckling then we can all get on the panel and make you win
That's because you opened a packet of tesco plastic cheese! Next year you need to raise your own cow, milk it and then slaughter it with your bare hands, butcher it yourself and add your own home-grown herbs (not that kind) to your rolled-on-the-thighs-of-virgins beef patties, make your own cheese from the milk, bake your own bread roll, light your barbeque using only flint and some kindling and THEN you might win
I appreciate what you are saying but there is absolutely nothing wrong with American/processed cheese when used correctly. In a sandwich, it is utterly revolting and I agree with your comments entirely. However as a ready made cheese sauce or seasoning, i.e. on top of a burger or melted in a variety of situations it is unbeatable. I challenge you, in back to back tasting to find something that is anywhere near as good. Red Leicester is a contender, but it's really only an also ran. Over to you, Pet.
I've had a look at the Ilchester page & they recommend cooking a burger for eight minutes a side! Eight minutes? It must be like *****ing leather. Poor choice Pet, back to you I'm afraid.
