Hi, I have a camper that I have just finished restoring up for sale. It began as a project to sell, then turned into a project to keep but as it took much longer than expected and I am off to Aus in 2 weeks, it needs to go. 1974 VW T2 Bay Window Devon flat-sided pop-top campervan Reconditioned engine fitted in 2009 and has only done 11k miles since! Tax exempt, MOT – September 2018 (although as of May 2018, new legislation means she is also MOT exempt). A comprehensive restoration of ‘Fanny’ has just been completed resulting in a fantastic example of a bay window. ‘Fanny’ is a real head turner, she has been finished in a lovely green and white paintwork with a complementary interior. A huge amount of work has been done which has included the following: A complete structural overhaul of the chassis: all rust cut away, new replacement sections welded in, all new outriggers, both sills (inner and outer) replaced. Following the repairs, the chassis and underbody were painted and then wax-oyled to prevent future rust settling in. Body panels had all the rust cut out and new sections welded in. Electrical system has been thoroughly checked and repaired where necessary Split charge system Leisure battery Interior lights and inverter on leisure battery Speaker system Alternator reconditioned Fridge – 12V and gas Cooker and grill Soundproofed with sound deadening underlay and dynamat-style sheeting Thermal insulation on the floor and side panels Pop-top reconditioned including: New pop top canvas New Pop top Seal Roof-rack All new interior upholstery including cushions/mattresses, curtains and side linings Front disc brakes – caliper’s overhaul Rear drum brakes – Overhauled Loads more work has been done, basically, anything that needed doing, has been done – no stone unturned! Viewings are encouraged and test drives are more than welcome.
