    i keep meaning to put my coversback on but theres allways something better to do

    my scoop is flat and my rad is angled it does work thou but not sure if it would work better flat my temp dose go up if i take it to 80 plus {private roads only}

    i like the idea of your air in take by the air vent i may look at changing mine

    Mine is similar to BB's but the rad is mounted at an angle but still with the scoop.

    Are you scoops / rad built together as one unit

    Was both your conversioms done by fellows
    If so why the different design on the rad

    The angle of my scoop can be adjusted to give more air less air flow.
    I guess its just development; BB's has been done for a few years more than mine. We've also got different sumps and header tanks.

    Who knows....
    Apparently the final part will be in "by this weekend" then it should only be a day or so. To be honest though, I've heard this before but endless supplier delays mean I'll believe it when I see it.

  15. My mate did his own for about 1.5K which included the engine, he's an engineer and maker of things and has the know how on and to do it. I can remember he turned some bits on the top off the engine 180degrees to make it fit.
    He's fitted an citroen diesel engine into his other split screen and gets a good 45mpg out off it. It rattles so much it sounds just like an air cooled engine.

  16. Its still one thing i would love to whack up in the rear off my pick up.

    Mind you some front suspension might help first.

  17. you guys will also find,
    that a few have been done with 1.9 passat tdi engines .....:thinking:

    a lot less electrical stuff and you can use the gearbox as well by flipping it over , so im told ..:hattip:

  19. Ok so after going through the conversion, do you have to let DVLA know of the changes, will insurance have to change because this will surely be invalid if you were in a wreck and you didn't tell them of the change. Will your road tax also change?
