I'm not yet ready to strip my bus down but l am prepared to jazz up the engine bay this winter so tonight saw the engine dropped out and the fun begin. I am however looking at it and thinking "oh what am l taking on??" Funny enough l didn't have such doubts when l took on the Wiseman's wagon :dizzy:

It's not without its problems. Having taken a look over the weekend and further investigation tonight l have an oil leak caused by a split dip stick bellows. Its amazing how much oil is wasted over the engine from a minute split. And my rear crankcase seal leaks which is why my bell housing is full of engine oil and answers the question of my clutch judder.

    As it looked this afternoon.

l ordered 4 of these. For those who understand German will note that Gelb is German for yellow. Yes that's right, yellow. The colour of my bus is yellow. Not Orange or in german: Orange. :)

It has been noted, thanks Mork :)

Tonight saw more work on the engine. Stripped off the tins and fan housing and noted that the oil leak from the dipstick bellows and finger tight filler neck!!! :( have contributed to a very messy fan housing. Then l got a little carried away and now the inside of the fan housing is so clean, l could eat my dinner off it :)

Clutch striped and it was noted that not only has the crankcase seal failed, the clutch hasn't been making proper contact with the flywheel and has resulted in hot spots so the fly wheel is off for a re-skim tomorrow.

Roll on Friday and the weekend. I've got a lot to do and just want to carry on. All being well l hope to have the engine finished this weekend. Fingers crossed.

The block half and half. Why anyone would paint it grey l do not know??
