Stopped at bangers and cash in Thornton le dales for a quick shufty and to get a nose full of the oily smell it's part of the staycation tourATTACH=full]96132[/ATTACH]
I didn't look at the one in the village, but the farms had tents and caravans so I can presume they had facilities for the tent dwellers.it all depends on if they are going to clean the toilets everytime someone uses them
If you want a bit more in the way of quality facilities, Overbrook adult only site is just a walk down from the village square and Vale of Pickering site, a couple of miles towards Scarborough.
One of the better car shows and I’ve got a visit on my ‘to do’ list , I’ll probably leave it till next year now and make use of a campsite as well
Campsite was good but very small. I stayed at the end of last year and was the only one there on the Monday so it was like I had my own private facilities anyway.
Stayed at Vale of Pickering site as soon as restrictions lifted....toilet and shower facilities cleaned 3 times a day and were immaculate.
Been there some years ago (my son used to work at Hull) and loved this living museum. Very close to Thornton is the Oliver's mount race track located in Scarborough. You have to make a lap on the circuit that is made of natural existing old fashionned and noarrow roads. Love this country !
