B post weather seal channel

  1. Has anyone got any ideas on the best way to make the weather seal channel on the sliding door B post?
It’s getting the sharp return that holds the seal in I’m struggling with

    Cheers in advance

Make the lip too big so you can fold it, then cut off the excess... but, yes, difficult.
Or you might find some thin wall square section the right size, bend the curve and then cut out what you want.

  3. Yeah I was thinking that but the return also wraps in a c shape to make a sharp grip etc .. it’s how to fold the last lip bit that’s doing my head lol

Indeed, I've only ever made sections a few inches long to repair. Seem to remember bashing then around some pre-curved square bar but really a bit of a bodge. I wonder if there are any panels available with the lip pre formed. Maybe an outer sliding door side sill? You'd still have to form the curve though but it never gets too bendy as it doesn't go right to the bottom?
