Auto box knocking

    ...and the torque convertor too.
    A word of warning. Torque convertors are full of the same ATF that travels through the gearbox. If the gearbox was driven into the ground the ATF will be full of "stuff". You can't totally drain the torque convertor so this ATF will end up in your gearbox. Auto box rebuilders replace the torque convertor with a new one as a matter of course, but we can't get new ones AFAIK. Therein lies the dilemma.

  3. I think vw had a adaptor that they used on the bench for flushing the torque converter... I'll have to check my bentley, but it rings a bell :thinking:

    Mine seems to holding out for now so I won't worry bout it for a bit ;)
