My advice would be to just enjoy it for a bit before bothering with any of the little stuff, providing it doesnt need anything drastic.. Just give it a service and have a nice time..
Well done Wispy! Wheel on the front is more practical but I'm considering removing mine and replace with a space saver inside (somehow) or just carry a can of tyre weld. There's been a lot of discussion about this subject but no perfect solution IMHO.
Nice bus bet you're itching to get out in it.... As or the wheel on the front idea - I never thought I would like one with the wheel on the front, however I bought mine like that and I find it is practical leaving more space on the inside. If the front panel on mine needs replacing at some point the wheel will go and other options explored I think. Horses for courses - whatever you find the most appealing or practical....
I like the look of the spare on the front, although not as much as a standard front, but the problem is the front skin is 1mm thick and it only takes the slightest nudge to wreck the front and push the air box back.
Congratulations like others have said don't wait for it to be perfect just get out there and enjoy it.
Glad you got sorted @Wispy ..... I wouldn't be in a rush to do much to it just yet.....get used to it.....take a few weekends out and see how you get on with the layout....looks like, most of the hard work has been done at some stage or other.....Congratulations! you have the only other 'proper' colour for a Late bay (apart from Green). Enjoy
First job I'd consider would be to find some dark green carpet to match the trim and make up a fitted mat that you can take in and out..... Make up a template out of cheap polyprop and send it off to these guys.....they can edge it for you aswell http://www.carcarpets.co.uk/?gclid=CPfy4oj1j70CFWjpwgodszEAzw
Good question. We would have taken it to Volksworld and then camping somewhere southern at Easter. But now I have to go to New York to work for 3 weeks that wipes out all of that! So no idea now
New York is a long way for your first camping trip; I'd do a few short test runs first to be sure it's reliable.
Nice van Wispy. All good advice. I,ve got the Berlin as well, just put my spare back in the space behind drivers seat. Enjoy as much as possible.
