I was watching. The commentators were jinxers! Every time they had the match won by Serena she faltered! Exciting match. Well done Tan but Serena must be kicking herself after that final tie break. To be fair she didn’t do badly for a 40 year old playing for 3 hours!! I’m off to Wimbledon on Monday.
Just wondering why you refer to Williams as Serena but Tan as Tan and not Harmony? Is it because she's French?
I loved watching that game. Tan was the ultimate in keeping a cool head and never giving in. Lovely person too! The commentators wrote her off about 10 times..
Serena looked very uncomposed compared to Tan. I was staying neutral but gradually veered towards Tan, especially as the commentators were so transfixed on Serena winning.
