I have the BBC cassette box set of the Red planet,

 

I used to listen to it on the wireless - before we got a TV so must have been in the mid 50s.
For some reason - "Lemmy - Lemmy "

 

Just whack it on the top of the set. Usually works

 

There was no need to light the fire when my nan had her telly on.

 

And Alfie Bass before he got to be in Bootsie and Snudge.
