maybe it's people who booked weddings with them.

And now the perils of doing a good job with e.g. Raptor will become clear as it bursts from within with rust.

I expect if they hadnt pratted about with a trailer , but just gave the bus some welly, got it rolling it would have got off the beach by itself...

Its almost tempting to donate to call them prats, and make an offer of £2000 for their bus.

    I’d love to know
    A) What story they’ve concocted for the insurer
    B) What the insurer has said

seeing its in the press then its hard to see what else they might say ... can you insure against stupidity?

Most 'accidents' come down to stupidity, misjudgment, falling asleep etc. Many causes are totally avoidable. The main stupid was thinking a front wheel drive vehicle is anything more than a joke tow vehicle.

I'm sure they new fully well it wouldn't be covered in a tidal cave on a beach... so from me it's a qualified hat's off for at least trying to recover it themselves and bad luck that between them they didn't have any ...any...

Internet begging - if people keep giving to self inflicted causes they won't go away but in that way that's not so different from insurance.

  9. If the bay couldn't get out under it's own steam there was more chance of snow than the t5 pulling it out.

Well yes, we know that. :)
But for all we know blokey with the T-whatever knew it wouldn't work but was pressured into trying. Maybe thought he could prove his point then escape though that would be daft too.
I suspect the bay wasn't a runner, no wipers?

  12. The T-thingy belongs to them too. Says in their bleating fundraising blurb that they use it to tow the Bay to weddings o_O

  13. Yep it drags the bay around, makes the bays value a lot less if it isnt even road worthy

I couldn't bring myself to visit the fund raising page. So it really is just a photo prop. I'm quite pleased then. :)

They'll probably get some govt hand out because it got Covid in water ...
By the way it's a photo booth with a table top "magic mirror" inside, that's probably worth more than the bus shell

  16. They have got 2 of the pink vans anyway, no one gets married this time of year, save their money using the 1 bus then get the other fixed with the £4500 they currently have in their begging pot.

I didn't look at the crowdfunding page ... Is it one of those where if you don't achieve your target you get nothing?

  18. Has it got an engine?

Why would a photobooth have an engine?

  20. It's got no engine just a rolling shell for havi g your picture taken in!
