The pub was shut for the night, sadly. We figured we will have a cold beer at T/E instead!

TLB combined brain for the win every time, and the great thing is that we must have a goodly part of the country covered with helpful (and able) forum members.
Hope you are making good speed down to the ferry now @F_Pantos

The coil is not grounded except for via the 12 volt positive feed. Which compared with 26000 volts is ground.
So the case of the coil is just a shield if metal.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone, went there once and got dizzy around the roundabouts

  12. The lure of tea @scrooge95 's was too much to refuse :D I needed some shopping for my lads and my ferry queue supper and Sarah was kind enough to let me check the Bus over on the drive and then show me the sights of Fordingbridge Co-op.

Oh and beware the tea is reet lovely, and it is proper, it will also put hairs on your chest ;)

  13. Thanks one and all for the moral and physical support, I can safely say I wouldn't be sitting here waiting for this ferry without the kind support of the TLB! Of course @MorkC68, @lowie and Jean and Mal of the Sitwell Arms get a special mention :hattip:for all their help.

  19. It's the biggest Co-op I've ever been into, all the ones I know are tiddlers by comparison. Must be posh en Fordingbridge ;)

  20. Just sailed past both the new carriers in port, perhaps they have a dodgy coil too?
