Another Newbie

I've had a look at the engine and taken a picture. On the bottom right side there seems to be some fluid. Not sure what it is, smells fuely and is black. Any ideas?

Welcome from a very cold and wet Cornwall .

 

Private of someone from work. She's had it for 10+ years.

 

Maybe has a poor sense of smell, or only stuck a tenner of petrol in at the time!

There are quite a few threads on breathers / filler hoses.

get your phone with the flash enabled, reach up the air intake by the spare wheel and take some photos.

The fuel breather pipes were the first things I changed. Most were rotted through.
