We've acquired another bus. Today has been a nightmare, it was collected by a haulier, and it's arrived with no roof, apparently it had one when it set off Just hope no one was hurt if it's flown off However it appears to be in great shape, has a flat battery and runs a bit fast when you get it going, but we'll sort that out. Chassis appears (with my limited knowledge) better than our blue one, and it's only at 36,000 miles. Also sound quieter than our blue one, I'm guessing that's the Monza 4 tip silencer? Gear changing is much better with the bush kit fitted too. Not sure how we feel about the rear interior yet, but we've loads of time to play with it ahead of the summer Anyone got a roof?!
Phone the Police in all the counties it went through, They may have had to retrieve it. It might not be too damaged. The haulier will probably get done for insecure load but serves him right, I normally put a strap round them gently just in case the catches are knackered or loose. See This might be his brother ?
And ask for their insurance details so you can claim against them for damage, the same is if they had dropped it or damaged it loading/unloading it.
did it damage the roof at all when it flew off ...deffo want to get there insurance company to sort it .
When it got here the roof clips were still in place, I don't really blame the driver to be honest, the clips were on, I wouldn't have done any more myself. Ideally it would have been nice if he had tied it down and the roof arrived with the van, however if it wasn't fixed properly it would have only flew off if I was driving it, as it wouldn't have stayed on then either. It was a Gumtree special
