Alternator rubber boot?

Mines all perished, so I have been searching, the usual suspects have them in stock.

I realize they are not exactly expensive, but before I take a punt on this plus postage anyone know if they're reasonable quality. Given how bad some rubber parts can be?

Can’t comment on the quality but make sure you buy the right one - there were two different diameters used for the end that goes on the fan housing... I glued my old one back together.

 

Presuming it's a type 4? Make sure you have the wire clip from the inside of the fan housing end of the boot.

Which size was that?

 

That was the 7.5mm sleeve, 10mm hood. I did measure the cable diameter and the required size of fitting and that one seemed to be the closest.

 

Fits nicely.
