Hi , going to sort out my leisure battery set up over the coming month so could use advise on which leisure battey to choose ?? Only going to be using it for LED lights, Radio, water pump on SMEV unit plus maybe , only maybe a little flat screen 12V TV (not sure a TV is a must but my little man thinks it is !!) What size / type would you buy and from where ?? was going to Hook it up to a 4 way fuse board under seat to control above and run off a split charge plus a mains charger for when on hook up any advise would be most welcome
I recently bought the generic LP110 from this site http://www.leisurebatteries4less.co.uk/camper-van-batteriess/campervan-leisure-batteries1 It's good, has enough kick to get my temperamental Propex to work properly and is a nice trade-off between size and cost. I bought an Elecsol when I first got the van but that lasted three years before becoming useless (charging to full but then going flat within a week). Probably my fault for not charging it once a month and letting it die a few times, but I can't make myself buy another one again, despite the almost universal acclaim for them. A fair few people have recommended www.tayna.co.uk for batteries as their service is good, but when I initially mentioned to them that my battery wasn't performing as it should I was given a reply about three stages above "get to Falkirk"
