I'm looking to put a c tec charger onto my beetle which is easily accessible would it be ok to splice these into the alternator lead 16832283183452286795630839702779.jpg

I have these which I will cut the clips off. 1683228099154877285325426040043.jpg

Why not just attach it to your battery terminals? Mine came with two leads, one as you pictures and one with 6mm ring terminals for permanemt installation.

I would like it so I don't have to lift the rear bench or have a cable dangling in the footwell. I have the ring terminal one fitted on the van.

You could also splice in at the ignition switch end of things or on the starter motor..

  5. I just lift the rubber isolator cover on the alternator lead and put the positive clip lead on the now bare post and the negative clip on the crank wheel, saves lifting the seat up.

  6. What about via cigarette lighter socket?

That looks ideal, I'll order one of those.

  8. They do extension leads too

Also make sure you're cigarette socket is permanently live, not switched live
