79 westy for sale

I am selling my 1979 westy to try and get my split out of the garage where it has been sitting forlornly.

it is an original westy campmobile conversion. It has spent time in new Zealand and canada before coming to me. It has been a great bus and has been reliable.
the two litre type four fuel injection engine is nippy and the handling great.

It is lhd and very stock not having been lowered.

Inside:
There is a three quarter width bed,
A sink,
A cool box which keeps beers cool
There is a huge water reservoir and a shower fitment under the sink, great if you like to surf and need to hose off after (nothing so romantic for me, I just used it to clean my wellies).
Has an Eberspacher that I have never had working.
The passenger seat swivels round when you are camped up.
It has the table,
It also has the bunk for over the front seats so sleeps five. Two up top, two in the 3/4 bed and one child in the bunk
Loads of cupboard space.

Good bits:

I have just had it resprayed,
a brand new pop top canvas has been fitted,
it has had:
New outer sills
New front panel
welding has been done on rear wheel arches
Any rot has been cutout and replaced with new metal
MOT till feb 2013 and taxed till end of august 2012
New front windscreen
Two new tyres as two had slow punctures from sitting, the other two were fine

Bad bits:
It needs a vw badge fitted to the new front panel, one is supplied with it,
one of the interior cupboard doors is a bit chipped right at the bottom,
It has been sat for over a year prior to the respray and may need the pushrods tubes replacing as it smokes a bit on very hard acceleration,
Having said that I just drove it to deva dubs and back with no problems (over 300 miles)

This is a very original bus and of course it is a westy so it is made for camping in.

Thanks, it is well less than it owes me, however still not one bit of interest, will have to try the dreaded eBay.

 

Nice looking westy, rather than listing it as a bad bit why not fit the front badge?

I have my own weary campmobile but would be interested in pics of the shower attachment you have done.

 

But even when I get the badge, I am not sure how to fix it, no more nails?
