FOR SALE 76 converted panel van resto

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by Paul Wells, Nov 4, 2015.

  1. A decision has sadly been made to move our van on, after many years away in a garage getting new panels fitted we have sadly been informed that the initial cost that was given to us for the work has now increased to the point where we are unable to continue with the work and therefore need to sell and try to find an old van that is on the road if possible.
It's a 76 and has had many panels replaced including front, arches, full rear length corners and cab doors. The engine was restored 8 years ago and it has not turned a wheel since.
As you can imagine I has spent a few quid so just trying to recoup something towards it.
Here are a few pics but I collect the van from the garage tomorrow so will put latest pics up with doors fitted.
    Looking for £6000. / NOW £4000 , NOW £3500. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Serious question, what do you think you'll get that's better than what you've got for £6k, cos that can be a very dodgy price range these days?

  3. I know what you mean. The plan is to sell the van to pay the garage bill then start a fresh with a van that has a bit of MOT, will obviously have to save a fair bit and look for 1 in the new year, if I had time I would keep this van as we love it but the bills need paying now.

  4. Price now revised to £4000

  5. Now £3500

  6. have you got the window cuts ?

  7. Hi,

Yes I have all the glass and also have a full set of brand new seals to go with them, also old cab doors, front seats and rear tailgate. Also spares including headlights and wiper motors etc.

    Thanks

  8. Great price for a resto project with what looks like plenty of the welding work done!

  9. Sorry I meant do you have the pieces you cut out so it could be re converted back to a van?

  10. Sorry, no, the panels were removed before I had the van.

  11. If you cant sell this for that price I might as well just roll mine into the river and be done with it.....

Its surely worth what you were originally asking!

  15. Well im not sure if im happy or sad but the van has now gone, off to hopefully have the time and cash spent on her that she deserves so now on the lookout for a new van that is in a usable state rather than a project as my kids are desperate to get away in one.
Many thanks all for your interest and comments.
