That’s good if clock works , I have a spare set just in case but you can buy all these new .although they do vary by year .. your car looks ace BTW
Turns out the clock doesn’t work! It does manage to make a sort of ticking noise, which is something. The voltmeter works when it’s upright, but packs up when rotated left a bit, so all good apart from right hand bends. Still a lot to do, the photos flatter quite a bit, but thanks!
I was just reading the Pelican Parts page on fixing clocks. I think the motor in the one I bought works - I can hear it. So it’s got to be worth trying to pry it apart to fix a toothless wheel somewhere - not something I’ll do in the short term as I’ve still got a long list of stuff to do, some needed to satisfy an MOT. https://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/Borrowed/mult_vdo_clock_repair.htm I think the later type of clock has the same mechanism as the one used on our buses.
Seat frames were stripped ,powdercoated and reassembled. ,Centre console is all now wired in and fitted . Both seats in , rear view mirror attached . Last little job on interior is new Sun visor pins and the chrome ones show signs of rust … with the coco mats and seats I’m really pleased how interior has turned out ..
Lovely bit of powder coating. Attaching the interior mirror to its boss on the screen turned into a two day job for me - just awaiting delivery of a replacement M2.6 cheesehead set screw after mullering the original…
i bought a genuine 911 mirror for £15 .. my 914 one doesn’t dip probably… … the springs on the frames are a bugger ..but it’s lucky Porsche didn’t put much paint on everything….
yes motor running . Fitting new bathroom and passing bike test / buying triumph street triple RS has taken my time .. she’s mostly done . I spent 4 years looking for a boot spoiler as mine had the 20 holes drilled for one .. but I’ve welded them all up and blending paint (ish ) I’ve also done a cosmetic engine bay refurb on me westy with all new fuel lines and tinware powdercoated .
