Decided to hang fire with changing runners, and wait to get some correct year seats..........or at least the drivers side. In fact just sourced one from South West Splitz for reasonable money. Poptop base now fitted.......and rear bumper. And quarter lights, scrapers and glass fitted............right old game that was, 5hrs one side. Drivers side next weekend.....

Not exactly part of the resto........but dug this out of the garage today, forgot I'd hid it away a few years ago!! Hopefully it might even get used this year!!! Still cant locate some roof brackets, as above, so may have to fab up my own......
Finally sorted some seats.......just need them recovered, but that can wait. Underneath black waxoiled......... Shot blasted wheels before painting....... Last job for mot is new ball joints, which should be sorted soon.......... New roof canvas ordered from Proud to Pop.........roof brackets to be made....... Nearly there.........

Heh....that all looks familiar. Blossom started life o range.......... We were struggling to get some poptop brackets, so decided to 'make ' some..........got an email the other day from Ian.... Looks like he got bored, and jumped the gun......... Poptop should be delivered on Monday, so all hands on deck next weekend! Got three weeks till local show to finish it!
MOT'd.......just needed new ball joints, headlight adjustment......... Canvas has turned up, so made a start fitting up the pop top.........
Sold as a brown pop top, looks brown in the pics.......but its actually green???.......and funnily enough looks better/suits in green!! Tax and insurance next, then first outing to the Castle Hill Car Festival next weekend.......

Been a while, but restarted stuff.......firstly fitted some ply......... 9mm ply first.......8x4 sheet Then 4mm over the top......... same again using 8x4 sheet means 2 cuts to fill the final bit..... Dunno why my mate is pointing at the radiused corners tho? All out for a dose of extra waxoyl........ Screw down.....add beer......... As beer sez.....Proper Job.........

Just read this thread and it's looking awesome! I'm just about at the stage on page 2, so the finish is a long way off yet. I've got the pop top roof all dismantled and refurbishing at the moment, with the van outside with a cover on. I keep dashing to the window every gust of wind praying it's still in place, else I'm going to have a mobile hot tub instead of a Bay!! Looking forward to updates!
