What a sad situation when the council is in effect moaning that people are using the park!

    yup

    "ger-orf our grass!"

  4. Absolutely, it'll be a real shame if they have to move it or stop it all together.

I certainly wouldn't have done any running without some kind of organised event to get dragged to.

I was quite adamant at the start of this thread that I wasn't going to do running, yet I've now ran 12 miles over the last 5 weeks.

  5. The only bit that's on the grass is the very end, no more than about 20 meters. Granted people mingle on the grass after, but not in a way that would damage it.

  7. Another week closer, another parkrun done.

Sadly no PB this week, I was 10 seconds shy. But that's OK, just some extra motivation for next week.

Spinning was extra tough this week too :)

5 weeks today is mudder time. :)

  10. I've been making good progress each week, so not didn't really expect to be quicker again today. I'm happy just to be able to get around.

Are you bringing your running shoes to TE? I'll bring mine eh?

  12. I could, there's no parkruns around there, I've already looked.

Not done any wild running yet

Love to, was thinking of bringing the mountain bike but there's not much worth bothering with down there , a pair of trainers will be easier to fit in

  20. With all the kerfuffle with the parish council and the parkrun people this last week or so, the usual run was cancelled.

Not to be put off I tried one of the other Brizzle parkruns, Pomphrey Hill.

As the name suggests, there is a big muddy hill, it was a lot tougher than Little Stoke, varied terrain and a bitter wind. 3 laps around the park, so 3 slogs up the big muddy hill and to cap it off, the finish is up a slope too.

With that in mind, I was slower than before 37.06

    But I'm pretty pleased.

Dragged the push bike out this morning and went the longer way home.

I can feel an active week coming up
