I haven't really explored the Welsh borders yet - it's great to have all this countryside to discover.

Lord Congi WoodyLubber yeah i do go to wales A LOT lol, this year we decided to go more often in the van but not tour wales as much, we spent stupid petrol money last year driving about so decided local and often was best, what places in the lake district do you recommend? what M6 junction is it at?

  5. I'd go to the Penrith exit then do the lakes North to South (only about 30 miles) go Keswick ,then Ullswater then Windermere then Coniston
But prefer the North lakes really ,more spectacular.

Pop? 250 miles each way to Penrith. I haven't been to the lakes for ages. :( I haven't been anywhere nice for ages. :(
When I move it'll still be 200 each way. I'm glad I haven't moved yet, maybe I should head further North...
Then again I want to go to the South coast too and that's 150 each way.
    Damn and bugger it.

  13. We have decided to go here Saturday for one night http://www.oakfarmpark.co.uk/ and have booked tonight, lady on the phone was really nice, pay on arrival no cancelation fee if it chucks it down & the option to stay another night if its glorious weather.

No showers but they have a purpose built toilet in the field rather than trekking to the farm house, entry to the play barn & other stuff is included with your camping for the duration of our stay & stays open until 10pm exclusively for the campers!

The lady said she has got 3 campervans already booked in which isn't surprising as its not that far from Stanford hall, has anyone booked in already?

Does anyone else fancy joining us???

We are having a late weekend - tonight and tomorrow in Southport. Judging by the queue of people leaving when we arrived at about 4pm, we have timed it well :)
