3rd - 6th of May (Mayday Weekend)

Discussion in 'Shows Events You've Missed unless you went' started by Robo, Apr 17, 2013.

  1. We've decided not to go Stanford Hall Mayday weekend but would like to get away for a couple of nights, any suggestions? Is anyone else planning to do anything, if so what are you doing?

  2. You could go to eddys/tekenders again. It's only down the road.

It'll be stuffed with the SSVC peeps I think.
Stanford seems like a waste of a long weekend...

  4. It was the ice cream man that said you'll be back again in a few weeks, the split screen lot camp here every year & convoy up to Stanford hall! Nice chap but my icecream was getting wet so I nodded politely and shuffled back to my van!

We're considering going here www.oakfarmpark.co.uk we went for the day a couple of years back & noticed they had a field for camping & thought it would be great for the kids while we chill...

  9. We went to that last year and met up with some TLBers. Nice day out. It's in September though, not the May bank holiday ...

I am jealous - you have such a lot on your doorstep Ricky. There might be something similar here, but it would be a weekend of wind whipping the soil off the fens into your pint. Some of the land here is sandy and the good stuff blows away. There's a field 100m from my workshop that looks like a desert. They'll just plough some good stuff up to the surface, then that'll blow away. It's depressing. I need hills and trees. :(
