3 wheels on my wagon

  1. Ive had our bus for now 3 mnths (ish). I replaced all the brakes, pads, discs, shoes etc. I replaced the gear linkage bushes as i had a sloppy gearbox. All done. Replaced the dodgy door catches on the interior. So we went out for a spin. About half an hour later i hear a noise...whassat methinks...better get home methinks...halfway round a roundabout the rear nearside wheel came off. Moral of the tale. CHECK YOUR WHEELNUTS. I guess id forgotten to tighten them. Plus i'd left my wheel brace in the garage. So my thanks to a couple of old boys in a old MG who helped me out.

Luckily the wheel didnt come off completely. The rear arch kept it on. Phew.

I'm new to buses but over the few mnths ive owned it, my 1st trip my exhaust fell off. 2nd trip run outta petrol and discovered my sender unit is faulty. Now my wheel falls off. Is it always like this? :)

Still it was fun in an odd kind of way. 8)

  2. oh dear dude, thats not the best of starts to bus ownership, I sent you some "good luck karma" in the hope that, that is the end of your woes

  3. Thanks DUB. :D Still it was my own fault for not checking them. There was a fair period between doing the brakes and the gearbox linkage bushes and i guess i'd just forgotten.

Last month i filled my bike up with diesel. Am I going senile?
