    Fellow campers,

I'm off to a stupidly expensive festival this year (booked by friends!). As my T4 is all proper set up for a week camping without electrics I was planning to use that. However........... I'm so shocked by the festival price and the fact I will be mixing it up with the 'Chipping Norton Set' that I'm going to take my Landmark and behave like the peasant that I am, playing my La Cucuracha air-horns and generally looking like the stereotypical leftie that I am :).

Problem is, I need a fridge that runs on gas as the Landmark has a bed y nada mas and I do like a morning and bed time cup of tea, with fresh milk. Also, as said festival is so costly we are determined to be self sufficient food and drink wise.

Therefore...... has anyone a 3 way fridge/cool box lying about unused, I may well be interested. Or, if you're in Banbury or Sheffield area and fancy lending it me for a week (for beers/cash) that would also be good. :)

  5. Do you want to use it in the bus or outside. Ive got a gnarly looking 3 way. i actually bought it new, bit shop soiled and a second because the paint was badly put on. Its been in my shed for yonks as ive never got around to repainting it. So it has.... patina. You can borrow it if you want. Ruzns fine on mains 12 volt and gas. When do you need it?

    Hi. Dicky,

Not until July. Cornbury festival is 8-10th. I'm planning on taking awning and camper. Prob fridge in awning as I'm not massively keen on permanent gas pilot overnight, esp with the landmarks shag pile carpet! :)

  7. I've got one that came out of my van before I started the resto but it's untested. I know it uses gas and 12v not the best looking thing in the world but it's clean inside your welcome to give it a try if your near to Warrington.

Cheers @Mathew Clarkson :), you're a bit further away but I will beat it in mind as I'm sometimes heading off in that direction.

  9. From the festivals I have been to, if they have a supplies shop they sell bags of ice and daily fresh milk. We can just about get away with frozen ice blocks in the cooler for two days and buying bags of ice each day for the other two days. Also frozen food in the cool box stays like that for a long time. Beer and wine stays cool if placed under the van when camped up (do not put on show but cover with a wet rag etc. The toilets are ok the first day but take seat covers and paper if you are fussy. The water taps are always a distance from where you are camped and the just dribble water out of tap so have found a tap attachment with a tube that holds 'the button' on the tap in to allow flow is great, also a 20l water container will weigh 20 kilos! so we have a little fold up trolley for this. Most of all just go and enjoy the festival and I bet you will eat at the many food stalls. Nb No glass items allowed on sites is the norm so beer in cans and wine boxes .

Cheers @IZZYBAY ive been to a day at this festival before as it's v near my dads and I can't remember if they had many supply shops as only small. We have a cool box somewhere so could go with ice, but bit concerned they won't have any. I'm loathe to buy food there - tho prob will! -as imho the tickets are v expensive. I think we paid about the same for Glastonbury a couple of years ago. Wet rags on beer a good idea. Don't worry I'm not fussy :) I've got my camping toilet and cat litter ready :) I'm going to look for tap holder down forthwith :)

  12. I believe he sold it to me for the same price he bought it for so fair play

I bought the coolbox on behalf of a mate who wanted it but changed his mind  so it`s sat in the garage .

    Could be yours again

Just let me know as i already have a fridge in the van so i`ll probably stick it on evilbay when the weather warms
up and huge `family`tents start cluttering up the campsites ....

  13. The best meal to buy are 'cheesy chips' in the early hours on the way back to base. Your own toilet is the best answer. Did you know 'hozelock' make a camping pressure shower? just warm up some water and put into the hozelock tank, pump up the pressure and heypresto a warm shower!

Yes :). A handy hint someone gave me. If you put a bag in camping loo and put cat litter in, it will soak up the wee and you can tie up the bag and bin it

  15. I got a rm 123 for sale gas works fine but I can't get the electric to work or when I plug it into n nothing happens!

Oh no, I didn't see this reply until now. It looks like you're in ramsgate (I was born there :) ) but I live in Sheffield. Sadly I've just spent the weekend in Oxfordshire, joined by my brother from Folkestone, but now we are all back home, miles away :(
