3 way fridge question

  1. There is a vent cover that fits on the B pillar - I haven't got around to fitting my fridge yet (due to the fact that I haven't built the furniture for it to go in yet!) but I intend to also put the gas drop out vent in the floor just behind the front jacking point, and also fit an underslung LPG tank on that side under the floor to power the fridge. The vent can be a bit of a pig to put on the B pillar, apparently, but it has been done, as has been said, on the Helsinki. I just need to stalk a Helsinki owner and take lots of photos of how their fridge is fitted.

  2. I've not got the three way fridge yet, and am now leaning more toward a compressor fridge (supposed to last days on a leisure battery but may add a solar panel to the roof to help) However a 3 way fridge vent is available for the westy conversions for the b pillar, i got one from here: http://www.vwbusshop.de/epages/GuenzlClassicParts.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/GuenzlClassicParts/Categories/"Westfalia T2"/Kuehlschrank
(google chrome has a translator built in ;) )

@Zebedee can hopefully point you in the direction of his fridge install (sorry Zebedee i cant find it i thought it was in your resto thread but it appears to be hiding)

As well as the flue you will need a vent in the floor under fridge and ideally have a vent somewhere above this can be internal to the van to allow the air circulate over the back of the fridge to keep it cool, Obriens has some of the instructions for fitting a fridge here: http://www.obrienscamping.co.uk/articles/Fitting_RM123.htm
