3 screw hella headlights

    My bus has the hella three screw type headlights that ar'nt very bright even thou I have put halogen bulbs in, After 1973 the one screw type headlight was used, can these be fitted or is it a different fitting

    I believe you just need to weld a lug in the bowl.
     
  3. There is no difference between them. Just you adjust beam alignment behind the rim. Dont forget to clean your glass inside as well. Ensure they are not adjusted too high or you wont see a good beam. Simples.
     
  4. I took the mini-me reflector out of the middle on mine and fitted super white bosch bulbs - they are now retina burners and really light up the road well on dip and high. You have the nicer convex lights not the flat ones, if I were you i'd keep them. The reflective bowls are available from VWH for less than £30

    Your lights will be fine with new reflectors - about £45 a pop! Same bulbs in both types, but the early ones have lovely domed glass - you wouldn't want to loose that would you?
